Hong Jun-pyo, a member of the People Power Party who is leading the race as the top presidential candidate within the party, met with reporters after the 'In-depth Survey Results National Report Meeting' and said, "It is right to join our party and participate in the party primary," adding, "It would be good to engage in policy debates and moral verification while participating in the primary schedule."
Former Prosecutor General Yoon also revealed the possibility of joining the People Power Party, saying, "In terms of political philosophy, the People Power Party and I share the same thoughts."
In response, Representative Park Soo-young emphasized on Facebook, "Starting from the common sense of the people, the determination to restore the values of liberal democracy, rule of law, and fairness that have collapsed is no different from the mission of the People Power Party in this presidential election," and added, "Since he said his political philosophy is the same as that of the People Power Party, I hope he will join the party as soon as possible and play a role in gathering the will of all the people who can share that mission."
Another presidential candidate, Representative Ha Tae-kyung, also wrote on Facebook, "I hope he will join the People Power Party as soon as possible and create synergy through healthy competition," adding, "This is the path the people want and the way to prevent a 'completely corrupt Korea.' I look forward to former Prosecutor General Yoon's prompt and wise decision."

Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, positively evaluated former Prosecutor General Yoon's declaration.
