Hyundai Construction Equipment Completes Remodeling of 8,300-Pyeong Global Training Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hyundai Construction Equipment announced on the 29th that it has completed the remodeling of its Global Education Center, which was carried out over two years to train construction equipment personnel.
Through this, Hyundai Construction Equipment explained that it has established three core infrastructure facilities to secure a leap to the global top tier: ▲Technology Innovation Center for finished product quality assurance (November 2020) ▲Quality Assurance Center for parts reliability verification (June 2021) ▲Global Education Center for talent development (June 2021).
In particular, this project focused on creating a comfortable educational environment by improving internal and external facilities, rearranging spaces, and replacing training equipment to enhance trainees' immersion and educational effectiveness.
About 20 people, including Gong Ki-young, CEO of Hyundai Construction Equipment, and executives and employees, attended the event. After the ceremony, attendees toured the lecture and practice buildings within the center to observe the educational and convenience facilities.

He added, "We will provide higher quality education in the upgraded educational environment and build a foundation for win-win growth where large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises can coexist."
Since its opening in 2006, Hyundai Construction Equipment's Global Education Center has been dedicated to nurturing core personnel in excavator, wheel loader, forklift maintenance, and driving skills. To date, approximately 13,000 personnel have been trained through its programs, playing a pivotal role in workforce development related to construction machinery equipment.
In June last year, it was selected as a joint training center for the 'National Human Resources Development Consortium Project,' the first in the construction equipment industry. Subsequently, remodeling work began on the existing training facility of about 27,300㎡ (8,300 pyeong), and all remodeling was completed this year with the completion of the practice building.
Hyundai Construction Equipment is the only company in the industry responsible for practical training to improve the job skills of employees at small and medium-sized enterprises and currently has agreements with 180 SMEs. This year, the number of trainees will be significantly expanded, with education planned for a total of 504 SME employees.
To this end, dedicated technical education personnel will be assigned to systematically plan educational programs, and the current teaching staff of 13 will be expanded through internal recruitment and the invitation of external experts.
