'Resolving Youth Concerns' Gwangju Nam-gu Youth Counseling Center Fulfills Its Role Effectively
1388 Evaluation by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Perfect Score of 100 Points

Nam-gu announced on the 29th that the Nam-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center received a perfect score of 100 points in the "National Youth Counseling and Welfare Center Youth Hotline 1388 Service Monitoring Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family commissioned the Korea Youth Counseling and Welfare Institute, an affiliated organization, to conduct an evaluation of the 1388 counseling hotline operated by youth counseling centers nationwide.
The Korea Youth Counseling and Welfare Institute made calls to each center and conducted a comprehensive evaluation on aspects such as the attitude towards hotline users, promptness of answering calls, clarity in explaining concerns, counseling measures, and proactiveness.
The Nam-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center received 100 points in all evaluation categories, being assessed as operating the highest level of youth counseling hotline nationwide.
Since 2012, Nam-gu has been operating the Nam-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center by entrusting it to an educational professional institution to support the healthy growth of local youth, protect and educate youth in crisis, and assist with their independence.
In the past year, through the youth counseling hotline 1388, 354 consultations were conducted on family issues, academics, career paths, and more, and counseling and service support for youth in crisis reached 3,165 cases.
