[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City has been selected as the host city for this year's 'Next Content Fair,' which aims to foster the growth of region-specific content.
Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-joon), together with BEXCO (CEO Lee Tae-sik) and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee In-sook), announced on the 29th that they have been finally selected for the '2021 Next Content Fair Support Project,' organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, securing a total project budget of 1 billion KRW for the event.
The '2021 Next Content Fair' is an event designed to promote regional content and expand business opportunities for content companies, thereby driving the development of the regional content industry.
This year, it is scheduled to be held at BEXCO for three days from November 11 to 13 under the theme "Content, Connecting the World (The Pairing)."
Now in its fourth edition, the 'Next Content Fair' plans to offer a variety of events including exhibitions by content-related companies and domestic and international business consultations.
▲ Introduction of diverse content specialized by region ▲ 1:1 business matching and workshops/conferences with domestic and international buyers (from five countries including China, focusing on immersive content, games, animation, licensing) ▲ Concert (special performance by the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra) ▲ Awards (short-form content production contest, mock crowdfunding) and other side events will also be held.
