On the 28th, according to the police, the Violent Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency recently conducted a search and seizure of the office of Senior Prosecutor A at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office on suspicion of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (Anti-Graft Act).
It is reported that during the investigation of a fisheries businessman suspected of fraud and embezzlement, the police detected circumstances indicating that Senior Prosecutor A and a police official at the superintendent level received bribes from the businessman. The police are expanding the investigation, considering the possibility that they accepted bribes from the fisheries businessman.
