Mapo-gu, Eco-Friendly Business Car Sharing Service
Humax Mobility Signs Business Agreement to Establish Future Mobility Services...Lays Foundation for Introducing Commercial Electric Vehicles and Smart Carsharing Systems
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (District Mayor Yudonggyun) is implementing an 'Eco-friendly Business Car Sharing' project in line with the Green New Deal era.
To this end, on the 24th, the district signed a business agreement with integrated mobility platform company Humax Mobility (Co-CEOs Oh Younghyun) at the Mapo-gu Office and agreed to cooperate in introducing eco-friendly business electric vehicles and a smart car sharing program.
Mapo-gu has been promoting eco-friendly energy projects, one of the Green New Deal policies, including LED lighting replacement, installation of fine dust reduction benches, rooftop cool roof construction, and solar photovoltaic and solar thermal projects. Last year, it achieved a remarkable feat of saving 54 million KRW in public utility fees.
This year, the district plans to implement rooftop cool roof projects at local daycare centers and senior welfare facilities to encourage energy savings and support children and the elderly to stay in cooler spaces.
The car sharing project promoted in cooperation with Humax Mobility supports departments that need shared vehicles to use electric cars through smartphone reservations and allows employees who urgently need a car after work hours to borrow vehicles. The district expects this to expand the supply of electric vehicles and increase the social utility of the sharing economy.
At the business agreement ceremony on the 24th, Humax Mobility Co-CEO Oh Younghyun said, "Through this business agreement, we plan to actively participate in Mapo-gu's eco-friendly project promotion," adding, "We will expand the scope of business using 'Carplat Biz,' an electric vehicle-based car sharing service for public institutions and corporate employees, and strive to become a leading company in the Green New Deal era."
