In response, Bae Hyun-jin, Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, directly criticized him, saying, "The innocent presidential son, stumbling around, causing big trouble."
On the 26th, Council Member Bae shared an interview Moon had with Kyunghyang Shinmun on his Facebook and made this comment.
The day before, in the interview, Moon explained about receiving 69 million won in support funds from the recent KACES support project, stating, "There was no preferential treatment. Politicians raising suspicions of favoritism should not exploit the president's family for political purposes without any basis." He also said, "The current attacks by politicians against me have completely failed and have no political effect; rather, they only highlight my abilities as a writer."
Furthermore, Moon emphasized regarding Council Member Bae and others trying to summon him as a witness for the National Assembly audit (Gukgam), "To call me as a witness, there must be grounds for preferential treatment, but the only basis they claim is that I am the president's son."
Moon also said, "I still give up on many support funds," adding, "Especially, I excluded support funds aimed at helping those in difficult circumstances from the very beginning."
In response, Council Member Bae told Moon, "Don't be mistaken; you are not the president, and what's so great about being the 'president's son'?" He pointed out, "The National Assembly audit witness is not in the capacity of the president's son but as a winner of a public contest under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's affiliated agency who received 69 million won of taxpayers' money, in other words, as an 'artist support recipient.'"
Baek Hyun-jin, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, shared an interview with Mr. Moon from Kyunghyang Shinmun on her Facebook on the 26th and posted a critical comment.

Council Member Bae said, "The National Assembly audit is a regular annual task of the National Assembly, and since you voluntarily confessed, giving hints to review flaws in government ministry budget management, we intend to summon you as a key witness," adding, "Even if you were the president's grandfather, you could come to the audit if necessary, not just as the president's son."
He continued, "The National Assembly is the people's representative body, so if you threaten recklessly like that, your father will be in a more difficult position."

What kind of groundless confidence (Geunja Gam) is that?"
