Korea & Company Signs MOU with KAIST for Data Infrastructure Platform Development

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hankook & Company Co., Ltd. announced on the 25th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the ‘STAR Project’ to build a data infrastructure platform with the KAIST College of Engineering at its headquarters located in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province.
Hankook & Company plans to cooperate in building a convergent data cloud sharing platform being promoted by the KAIST College of Engineering, as well as supporting virtual reality testbeds and real-virtual symbiosis testbeds.
Additionally, based on the data sharing platform under development, pilot projects such as smart factory, smart mobility, and smart life will be conducted together with major affiliates of Hankook & Company, including Hankook Tire.
In particular, collaboration will be carried out in various fields such as applying vehicle traffic status data analysis to environmental sectors, and collecting and utilizing actual driver operation records and traffic accident occurrence type data for tire research and development.
