Incheon TP Promotes 'Incheon SOS Lab' for Developing SW Solutions to Solve Children's Issues
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 25th that it will promote the on-site close-contact project 'Incheon SOS Lab,' which identifies and solves local community issues together with citizens and companies.
This project aims to address various child-related issues such as abuse, health, traffic safety, sex crimes, and education by bringing together citizens, children, local governments, and companies to find solution-oriented ideas and develop them into software (SW) solutions.
This year, Incheon TP is working on solution development with the participation of citizen researchers by selecting 10 child-related issues identified directly by 103 parents and children in Namdong-gu. Additionally, it is supporting R&D projects by SW and artificial intelligence (AI) companies to develop solutions for child issues previously identified in Jung-gu and Michuhol-gu last year.
Based on DNA (Data·Network·AI) technology, the project is expected to establish a foundation to effectively address major child issues in the Incheon area, explore the commercialization potential of SW solutions through demonstration, and create SW service products.
To this end, Incheon City and Incheon TP will hold the 'Incheon SOS Lab Meet-up Day' event for governance building with Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, Jung-gu, Michuhol-gu, and Namdong-gu on the 29th at Michuhol Tower in Songdo International City, both online and offline.
