Gwangju Mayor Lee Yong-seop and Uzbekistan Minister of Employment and Labor Discuss Bilateral Labor Environment and More

According to Gwangju City on the 24th, the meeting was arranged as Minister Nojim Husanov visited Gwangju to attend the opening of a rest center for Uzbekistani workers in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, held the previous day.
The meeting was attended by Nojim Husanov, Minister of Employment and Labor of Uzbekistan, Haidar Paiziev, Consul of Uzbekistan in Korea, and Anrina, President of the Uzbekistan Association in Korea, among others.
Minister Nojim Husanov personally presented a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Lee, saying, "After the rest center opening ceremony yesterday, I had a meeting with our workers, and they all consistently said that Gwangju is a great place to live and they are satisfied," and added, "Thank you for the city's support in opening this workers' rest center."
Mayor Lee stated, "South Korea is facing a serious low birthrate problem, and therefore there is an absolute shortage of workers, making foreign workers extremely necessary," and added, "Although the COVID-19 situation continues, Gwangju City will actively support smooth economic exchanges and human interactions between the two countries."
