Selection of 9 Companies and 35 Items for Quality Assurance of Agricultural and Marine Specialties in the First Half of the Year
[Sinan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam Sinan-gun (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 23rd that it held the first half of the year Agricultural and Marine Specialty Products Quality Assurance Deliberation Committee on the 14th and selected 35 items from 9 companies producing agricultural and marine specialty products in the region as quality assurance items.
Sinan-gun, designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, conducts quality assurance for agricultural and marine specialty products by receiving applications through sector-specific working committees, conducting comprehensive evaluations including quality management level of producers, external credibility, differentiation, and profitability through document review and on-site inspections, and then submitting them to the Quality Assurance Committee. After final deliberation by external experts in each field, a quality assurance certificate is ultimately issued.
The products that received quality assurance this time include mushrooms, figs, purple onions, solar salt, seaweed, and salted seafood, which are attracting attention from consumers.
The quality assurance period is two years, and re-certification can be applied for before the certification expires. For guaranteed products, support will be provided for packaging design development and packaging production costs, and external promotion and marketing will be promoted.
