People Power Party Criticizes Song Young-gil, Who Points to Opposition as Source of 'Yoon Seok-yeol X-File,' Calling It "Agitation Politics"
"CEO Song, 'Let's Not Engage in Exhaustive Politics,' Then..."
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 23rd, the People Power Party criticized Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who pointed to the opposition party as the source of the 'Yoon Seok-yeol X-file,' calling it "old-fashioned inflammatory politics" and urging him to "stop making the public frown."
Hwang Bo-seung-hee, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a statement that "In a situation where no concrete evidence related to the 'Yoon Seok-yeol X-file' has been revealed, it is no different from old-fashioned inflammatory politics for the ruling party leader to speak as if speculation were fact and to mislead public opinion," adding, "It is especially regrettable since Leader Song recently met with the leader of the main opposition party and said, 'Let's not engage in wasteful politics.'
Spokesperson Hwang also stated, "The People Power Party has never seen the 'Yoon Seok-yeol X-file' and is completely unrelated to it. Moreover, former Prosecutor General Yoon is not currently a member of the People Power Party, so no action can be taken."
