Sejong 'Eoulling' App Update... One-Week Free Trial Event
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] An event allowing free use of the Sejong public bicycle system Eoulling for one week is being held.
Sejong City announced on the 23rd that it will hold an event to provide a one-week free usage pass in celebration of the Eoulling app update, in collaboration with Sejong Urban Transportation Corporation.
The event can be participated in by downloading or updating the ‘Eoulling’ app from the smartphone Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
New members registering on the Eoulling app or existing members who log in can immediately receive the event pass by clicking the ‘Receive 7-day Free Usage Pass’ notification window by the 27th.
Earlier, the city enhanced the app’s functions by comprehensively analyzing the results of the in-depth study conducted last July with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute on the Eoulling ‘Digital Twin’ big data project, along with user-reported inconveniences.
The updated features include switching the app server to cloud for improved app security, improving the app interface (UI), simplifying login through SNS linkage, and enhancing payment convenience by introducing Kakao Pay and Naver Pay.
Additionally, the update expanded available budget phone carriers through changes in identity verification and payment modules, and addressed Bluetooth return issues.
Meanwhile, the number of Eoulling rides increased from 580,000 in 2019 to 1.22 million last year, and recorded 500,000 rides as of May this year.
