Selected 3 Districts in Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' Fishing Village Development Project, Securing 3.8 Billion KRW in National Funding
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 22nd that three districts were selected in the 2022 general rural and fishing village development project public contest by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, securing a total project cost of 5.42 billion KRW.
The general rural and fishing village development project is a program implemented by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to expand customized social overhead capital in fishing village areas and revitalize the fishing village economy.
The districts selected in this contest include one regional unit hub development site, the Geoje-si Guyeong district comprehensive fishing village development project, and two sites for city/county capacity enhancement, Geoje-si and Tongyeong-si.
In particular, the Geoje-si Guyeong district comprehensive fishing village development project was planned under the theme "Guyeong, a stable home where the second generation of the region settles."
