Seoul City Supports Green Companies' Market Expansion with '1st Online Planning Exhibition'... Recruiting Participating Companies Until the 30th
July 12 - August 1: Gmarket Hosts 1st Special Exhibition for Small and Medium Enterprises' Green Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 22nd that it will hold the ‘Seoul Green Products 1st Online Special Exhibition’ selling high-quality green products on the online shopping mall Gmarket from July 12 to August 1, and is recruiting companies to participate in the exhibition until the 30th of this month.
This special exhibition was prepared to help green small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Seoul that lack online sales channel development capabilities. Companies that have fewer opportunities to showcase their products directly to consumers due to COVID-19 can secure new sales channels, and customers can purchase practical green products that minimize greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions at more affordable prices.
Since 2012, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has been holding online special exhibitions to support the sales channels of green SMEs. Especially since last year, as non-face-to-face and online sales capabilities have become important for companies due to COVID-19, support for online special exhibitions has been strengthened. Companies wishing to participate in this green products online special exhibition can apply through the Seoul Green Industry Support Center by the 30th.
The Seoul Green Industry Support Center not only supports online sales channels for green SMEs but also carries out demand-oriented customized capacity building and establishes green industry policy infrastructure. Through the operation of such customized green SME support programs, it plans to actively foster and support Seoul-type green industries.
