The Investigation Headquarters of the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 21st that they confirmed evidence destruction at one of the demolition companies in the redevelopment area of Hakdong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, and have booked two people.
One is suspected of ordering the destruction of evidence, and the other is suspected of following the order.
While analyzing materials secured through a large-scale search on the 18th, the Gwangju police confirmed organized and serious evidence destruction activities.
So far, 16 people have been booked in connection with the Gwangju building collapse disaster. Among them, two have been detained, and one has had an arrest warrant requested. The detention warrant review for the supervisor, for whom the warrant was requested, will be held on the 22nd.
Meanwhile, at around 4:20 p.m. on the 9th, a five-story building being demolished in the redevelopment area of Hakdong 4 District, Dong-gu, completely collapsed and crushed a city bus on the road. As a result of this accident, nine people died and eight were seriously injured.
