Ministry of Economy and Finance and KIPF to Provide Specialized National Accounting Training for Public Officials Until the End of October
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Korea Institute of Public Finance announced on the 21st that from the 23rd of this month until the end of October, specialized national accounting training will be conducted for all national government officials across all ministries.
The government has been providing annual training since 2010 to ensure the stable operation of the accrual basis and double-entry bookkeeping national accounting system introduced in 2009, and to enhance the expertise of public officials.
This year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, training will be conducted online in a non-face-to-face manner during July and August, and the training method will be determined later based on the trend of COVID-19 spread and government guidelines.
The specialized national accounting training consists of four courses: national accounting theory, national accounting practice, financial settlement practice, and utilization of national accounting, and will be conducted up to a total of 13 sessions.
