Tourism Corporation and Gas Safety Corporation Sign Business Agreement to Promote Safe Camping Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 18th that it has signed a "Business Agreement for the Creation of a Safe Camping Culture" with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation.
As the camping population increases due to social distancing, the possibility of gas safety accidents such as butane gas explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning at campsites is also rising. In this situation, the two organizations joined hands to effectively promote cooperative projects for creating a safe camping culture based on their business experience and expertise.
The Korea Tourism Organization has continuously operated the registered camping site information network "GoCamping," provided safety education for campsite operators, and conducted online and offline promotional campaigns for safe camping. The Korea Gas Safety Corporation plays its role as the only specialized gas safety management institution in Korea by inspecting and checking gas facilities and products, training related professionals, and conducting education for managers.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint campaigns to comply with camping safety rules ▲ production and promotion of safe camping content ▲ cooperation in safety education for campsite operators and users. Through this agreement, the two organizations will jointly develop and promote projects necessary for creating a safe camping culture, such as producing and distributing safety rule promotional materials to prevent gas accidents during camping, conducting public service advertisements using broadcasting media, and other related activities.
