Enjoying a Joyful Time at Gokseong Rose Park with Ilnalchi...
Gokseong-gun Releases Promotional Video for World Rose Virtual Event on YouTube
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The band Idanilchi appeared at the Rose Park in Seomjingang Train Village, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do.
Gokseong-gun canceled the World Rose Festival this year due to the impact of COVID-19. Instead, they invited the band Idanilchi to film a promotional video so that people could enjoy the roses remotely.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the filming was conducted privately, and after editing, the video was released on June 16 on Gokseong-gun’s official YouTube channel. The video features a lively performance by the band Idanilchi against the backdrop of millions of roses. The stage, where roses, lighting, and the band’s performance harmonized, was truly spectacular. The band adapted the final chorus of their song to fit the Gokseong roses, encouraging even more audience engagement.

A Gokseong-gun official said, “Following last year, the festival has been canceled for two consecutive years, and many people miss the Gokseong World Rose Festival. Therefore, besides the Idanilchi video, we conducted various non-face-to-face content such as online busking, live sales of agricultural specialties, and various events.” He added, “Although there are some regrets, we hope people will enjoy the beautiful roses through the videos on Gokseong-gun’s YouTube channel. We hope to meet travelers in person next year with an even more fun and wonderful World Rose Festival.”
