Gyeongnam Province to Distribute a Total of 200 Million KRW in Scholarships for Low-Income Children in the First Half of the Year
Second Half Scholarship Recipients to Be Selected in November, Total of 400 Million KRW Planned for This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 17th that it has provided a total of 200 million KRW in scholarships, giving 500,000 KRW each to 400 middle and high school scholarship students from low-income families.
The scholarship recipients are middle and high school students from households with an income below 70% of the median income, residing in the province.
These students are those recommended by their school principals for improved academic performance, excellence, or being role models for others.
The selection of scholarship students was finalized by Gyeongsangnam-do after a review by the scholarship selection committee of the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education.
This program is in its third year, having supported 1,548 students with scholarships up to last year.

Meanwhile, the second half scholarships are planned to be awarded in December after finalizing the recommended recipients by the end of November.
