Ildong Bioscience is a specialized company in health functional food materials, established in 2016 after being spun off from Ildong Pharmaceutical. It particularly holds fermentation technology, patents, and over 3,000 strains in the probiotic field.
Intercare, established in 1978, has focused on the cosmetic raw materials business. It has expanded its business area into new materials, developing and supplying precision chemical raw materials for cosmetics, food, and pharmaceuticals.
Under this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop new skin microbiome cosmetic raw materials and natural fermented cosmetic materials. They expect to create synergy by combining their core competencies.

Previously, the two companies successfully co-developed new cosmetic raw materials such as ‘Biotics Composition 2201’ and ‘Prosera Complex.’ Biotics Composition 2201 is used as an ingredient in five types of Ildong Pharmaceutical’s functional cosmetics ‘First Lab Barrier Line,’ launched in May. Regarding Prosera Complex, a related research paper is scheduled to be published in the second half of the year. In addition to Ildong Pharmaceutical’s First Lab, discussions on product development and collaboration with several well-known cosmetic brands are also underway concerning these raw materials.
