Namwon-si Conducts 'Bus Stop Environment Maintenance'
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 16th that it has been conducting 'bus stop environment maintenance' for three days since the 15th to provide citizens with a safe and pleasant public transportation environment in preparation for the summer season.
The city removed accumulated dust inside bus stops and eliminated illegal advertisements and stickers.
In addition, maintenance was carried out on 105 bus stops in the city area with high usage, and plans are in place to continuously maintain bus stops in towns and townships.
In the first half of the year, the city replaced old timetables and destination signboards attached to bus stops, completing replacements at 39 locations to alleviate inconveniences for public transportation users.
The project to install convenience facilities at bus stops (15 air curtains, 15 heated seats, and 10 bus information displays) was completed, and the replacement of 50 old bus stops was also finished.
