Jindo Arirang Cinema Selected for 2021 Small Theater Planning Exhibition Contest
Free Customized Movie Screenings for Audiences... Scheduled for This November
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 16th that Jindo Arirang Cinema was finally selected in the ‘2021 Small Cinema Planning Exhibition Support Contest’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Film Council.
In this contest, 25 small cinemas nationwide applied, and after screening, 15 small cinemas across the country, including Jindo Arirang Cinema, were finally selected.
The 2021 Small Cinema Planning Exhibition is themed ‘Sharing Movies, Adding Healing’ and consists of a diverse screening program including domestic and international films for local residents exhausted by COVID-19.
The exhibition will screen various domestic and international films containing stories in fields such as family, classic literature, travel, and traffic safety animation, as well as diverse programs like Pansori performances, and audience-tailored films focusing on sensory and creative development for children and growth and healing for adolescent viewers.
The exhibition will be held from November, and detailed information such as the screening program will be finalized and proceeded through consultation with the Small Cinema Planning Group. Any Jindo residents can participate and enjoy all programs free of charge.
