Jeonnamjin Pyeonbaek Forest Woodland to Fully Open on the 21st
Resumption of Indoor Facility Operations Including Accommodation, Wooden Culture Exhibition Hall, and Hinoki Salt House
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeonnam Province (Governor Jeong Jong-sun) announced on the 16th that the entire Jeongnamjin Cypress Forest Woodland will be fully opened.
Due to the nationwide spread of COVID-19, the indoor facilities of Woodland (accommodation facilities, wooden culture exhibition hall, cypress salt house), which had been closed since February 24th last year, will resume operation from the 21st.
The county completed improvements to the accommodation facilities (ecological architecture experience center) and the interior of the cypress salt house during the closure period to create a comfortable resting space for Woodland users.
For accommodation facilities, reservations can be made in advance through the Woodland website, and to prevent COVID-19 infection, only up to 6 people (8 people for immediate family) can stay overnight. This number may increase or decrease depending on changes in social distancing guidelines.
The wooden culture exhibition hall and the cypress salt house also have restrictions on the number of simultaneous users according to quarantine guidelines, and visitors are advised to be cautious.
Additionally, the ticket office, the first gateway to Woodland, was newly built opposite the parking lot to enhance visitor convenience. The route is planned to pass through ‘Imolda’, Jangheung-gun’s promotional hall, and ‘Eokbuldae’, which houses woodworking workshops and cypress-related businesses, creating a synergy effect between Woodland and the local wood industry.
