TRN Provides 100 Million KRW in Support Funds for Non-Disabled Siblings of Children with Disabilities

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] TRN, which operates the data home shopping channel 'Shopping NT,' announced on the 16th that it held a ceremony to deliver 100 million KRW in psychological treatment support funds for non-disabled siblings of children with disabilities.
On the 15th, TRN delivered 100 million KRW in support funds for psychological treatment of non-disabled siblings in families with children with disabilities at the main conference room of the Purme Foundation headquarters, attended by TRN CEO Min Taek-geun and Purme Foundation Executive Director Baek Kyung-hak.
The 100 million KRW support fund provided by TRN will be used so that non-disabled siblings in families with children with disabilities can receive counseling and treatment at psychological treatment centers and welfare centers. Families wishing to receive psychological support can apply through social welfare institutions (including facilities and organizations) and medical institutions capable of case management until July 15.
This support project for non-disabled siblings is organized and operated by the Purme Foundation, and the eligible recipients are non-disabled siblings under the age of 18 who have siblings with disabilities. Detailed information can be found on the Purme Foundation website.

A TRN official stated, "In families with children with disabilities, non-disabled siblings may receive relatively less attention in their upbringing compared to the children with disabilities, so we planned and carried out this support project for psychological counseling and treatment." He added, "We will continue the psychological support project for families with disabilities, which has been ongoing for three years since 2019, in various ways going forward."
