The Nation's First Healthcare Complex Including Medical Facilities
Hanwha Construction announced on the 15th that it signed a construction contract on the 9th for 'Osiria Meditown,' one of the development projects within the Osiria Tourist Complex in Busan.
Osiria Meditown is located within the Osiria Tourist Complex in Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, covering a site area of 61,031㎡ and a total floor area of 198,932㎡. It is a large-scale mixed-use development project comprising a senior town, health town, and Korean medicine hospital. Construction began in December 2021 and is scheduled for completion in July 2024.
Specifically, it consists of 567 units of senior town (welfare housing for the elderly), 412 rooms of health town (nursing facilities), a Korean medicine hospital with 249 beds, one medical complex (commercial facility), and street-type shopping areas. The senior town will be operated and consulted by Hotel Lotte Co., Ltd.
Osiria Meditown is the first healthcare complex in Korea to include medical facilities within the site of welfare housing for the elderly. By providing both residential and medical services, it is expected to attract significant interest from the senior demographic not only in the Busan area but nationwide.
The Busan city government plans to develop the 'Osiria Tourist Complex,' where Osiria Meditown is located, as a core urban development project reflecting regional characteristics, aiming to transform it into an eco-friendly and advanced tourism special zone.
