Kakao Launches Subscription Platform 'GudokON'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kakao announced on the 15th that it will launch a subscription platform called 'GudokON' where users can view products and services available for regular subscription at a glance.
On GudokON, users can find a variety of subscription products ranging from physical goods such as food, home appliances, and daily necessities to intangible services like cleaning and laundry. It is accessible directly through the KakaoTalk 'More' tab without the need to install a separate app, and users can subscribe to desired products via the 'Try' and 'Discover' tabs within GudokON.
This service is characterized by providing a convenient flow that allows users to manage their subscriptions more easily. Previously, subscriptions had to be managed separately by product or brand, but on GudokON, users can comprehensively manage their subscription details, payment schedules, and cancellation requests through the My Page menu.
Partners can systematically manage the entire process of providing subscription services through the Subscription Service Platform (SSP) for product subscription management. This includes order availability checks (credit rating inquiries), electronic contracts (automatic contract creation and signing), as well as efficient management of various tasks necessary for rental and regular delivery business operations such as billing and settlement.
Kakao plans to curate and introduce various types of subscription products, including lifestyle care services, through weekly product updates.
