In a post on his Facebook on the same day, Kim addressed the youth politicians of the Democratic Party, asking, "What do you think about the behavior of senior Democratic politicians who have not properly reflected on the Cho Kuk incident and the sexual violence cases involving Park Won-soon, Oh Keo-don, and Ahn Hee-jung?" Kim, born in 1990, was elected as the new Youth Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party on the 11th.
Kim emphasized, "As revealed in the results of the April 7 by-elections and the People Power Party's party convention, the youth politics that the public now desires is not about parroting the 586 politicians and merely representing them, but rather about representing the people and expressing just convictions."
He continued, "In that sense, I await voices of self-reflection from the youth politicians of the Democratic Party regarding the behavior of senior Democratic politicians who have not properly reflected on the Cho Kuk incident, an extreme case of 'anti-meritocracy,' and the sexual violence cases involving Park Won-soon, Oh Keo-don, and Ahn Hee-jung, which represent the peak of 'anti-feminism.'"
Kim pointed out, "Cho Kuk, who deeply disappointed the youth, continues to wound their hearts by publishing a book without any sign of remorse, despite the fact that his family’s criminal charges have been increasingly ruled guilty in court," and criticized, "Democratic Party presidential candidates are busy so-called 'supporting Cho Kuk' rather than showing any signs of reflection."
He also noted, "Even though the three major metropolitan governors of Seoul, Busan, and Chungnam resigned due to sexual crimes, the Democratic Party not only nominated candidates for those positions but also failed to properly reflect on these issues."
He then stressed, "It is now the turn of the youth politicians of the Democratic Party to respond," adding, "Engaging in youth politics without any conviction and merely acting as rubber stamps is a deception to the many young politicians who dream of politics. It is time to change together and respond to the expectations that the public places on youth politics."
