Suga Supports US North Korea Policy... G7 Shares Concern on Abductees Issue
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga reportedly expressed support for the Biden administration's North Korea policy at the Group of Seven (G7) summit, Kyodo News cited the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 12th (local time).
The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that it received support from G7 member countries to work together to resolve the issue of Japanese abductees.
Prime Minister Suga explained that the abductee issue is the Japanese government's top priority and requested full understanding and cooperation, to which the G7 member countries agreed, the ministry said.
