Gwangju City Council, Closing of the 298th 1st Regular Session
Approval of 2020 Fiscal Year Settlement and Handling of 24 General Agenda Items
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim Yongjip) announced on the 11th that it held the 2nd plenary session of the 298th 1st regular meeting and concluded the 11-day session.
During this regular meeting, a total of 24 agenda items were processed, including 6 settlement proposals such as the 2020 fiscal year general and special account revenue and expenditure settlements and contingency expenditure, 13 ordinances, 2 consents, and 3 resolutions.
The agenda items processed by each standing committee were ▲Administrative Autonomy Committee with 6 items including the “Ordinance for the Full Revision of the Worker Director System Operation Ordinance,” ▲Environment and Welfare Committee with 3 items including the “Ordinance for the Activation of Early Childhood Forest Education,” ▲Industry and Construction Committee with 2 items including the “Ordinance to Support Prevention of Indiscriminate Development on Mudeungsan,” and ▲Education and Culture Committee with 2 items including the “Ordinance for Prevention and Management of Harmful Substances in Schools.”
Additionally, 6 settlement proposals including the “Approval of the 2020 Fiscal Year Gwangju Metropolitan City General and Special Account Revenue and Expenditure Settlements” and 2 consent proposals including the “2021 3rd Extraordinary Shared Property Management Plan” were approved.
Resolutions on the formation of the Budget and Settlement Special Committee, the Ethics Special Committee, and the extension of the Youth Development Special Committee’s activity period were also processed.
