The library operates in a remodeled space of 2,509㎡ on the three above-ground floors of the former Guryongpo Girls' Middle and High School building, which closed in 2014.
The first floor houses the information desk, exhibition hall, rest area, small meeting rooms, and a multipurpose room; the second floor contains the infant and children's reading rooms; and the third floor includes the general reading room, specialized reading room, multipurpose room, and office space.
Reflecting the area's characteristic as a representative tourist destination, the Guryongpo Library selected travel as its specialization theme and established a specialized reading room. Various programs related to this theme are planned and will be conducted in the future.
