This agreement was prepared to introduce and promote hanbok as work uniforms in order to spread the culture of wearing hanbok in daily life.
Accordingly, the city will engage in cooperative activities to revitalize hanbok culture, including being the first local government to promote the introduction of hanbok work uniforms, while the Promotion Agency will operate consulting services for the introduction of hanbok work uniforms.
The currently developed hanbok work uniforms are part of a project started by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2020, with a total of 64 types developed to showcase the elegant beauty of hanbok while allowing comfortable work. They were first unveiled on the 27th of last month at Culture Station Seoul 284 Artio and received favorable reviews.
The city plans to receive consulting on the developed hanbok work uniforms in June and select work uniforms that reflect the unique characteristics of hanbok based on activity results in July, starting with civil service office staff.
In addition, the uniforms will be used as work uniforms for staff at the Miryang Arirang Grand Festival to promote the popularization and excellence of hanbok.
