Sejong-si, Safety Inspection of Construction Sites in Preparation for Summer Strong Winds and Monsoon Season
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 8th that it will conduct joint safety inspections of 55 construction sites within the city in cooperation with related organizations to prevent safety accidents caused by strong winds and the rainy season during summer.
The inspection will involve the Fire Headquarters, Administrative City Construction Agency, Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and others.
The main inspection items include ▲ implementation of safety management such as flood control measures during the rainy season ▲ protection measures for adjacent structures such as drainage facilities and slopes ▲ management status including construction, quality, safety management, and safety education ▲ COVID-19 quarantine management guidance.
The city plans to immediately correct any issues identified during the joint inspection on-site or take administrative actions such as imposing penalty points.

Park Byung-bae, head of the city's Architecture Division, said, “This summer is also expected to be hot with frequent heavy rains. We will ensure thorough implementation of flood control measures and safety management at each site through proactive guidance and inspections.”
