View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] JT Savings Bank is the first in the industry to switch corporate office supplies to green products. As part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, the range of products will be gradually expanded.
Green products are those manufactured to reduce environmental pollution impact. The production process minimizes the input of energy resources and the generation of greenhouse gases and pollutants. After undergoing special processes such as raw material and product manufacturing to minimize pollution, they are distributed following certification by government agencies.
JT Savings Bank has restricted the purchase of general office supplies such as stationery without environmental certification, which were previously bought through the in-house shopping mall, and has encouraged the use of green products. As additional purchasable products become available, the introduction will be further expanded sequentially. From the second half of this year, the bank is also preparing for ‘paperless’ management by using electronic documents instead of paper documents in meetings.
