Gangdong Police Station Joins Hands with Beauty and Hairdressing Association to Prevent Voice Phishing
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] On the 7th, the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul announced that it is conducting measures to prevent voice phishing through a 'Gangdong District Residents Promotion Project' agreement ceremony with the Barber and Beauty Association.
This project was inspired by the fact that customers using barber and beauty shops spend a lot of time looking at their mobile phones or full-length mirrors. Promotional materials will be attached to mirrors to help raise awareness of the characteristics of crimes and methods of damage prevention. The promotional materials were created to raise awareness not only about preventing voice phishing damage but also about similar fraud crimes using bait such as stocks, virtual currencies, romantic encounters, and guaranteed high returns.
The budget was supported by the Gangdong District Office, and the Gangdong Police Station provided 3,300 promotional materials to the Gangdong Branch of the Barber and Beauty Association.
