25t Truck Collides with 5·1t Vehicle on Shoulder in Masan Jinjeon-myeon
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] At around 7:48 a.m. on the 3rd, a 25-ton truck collided with two trucks undergoing maintenance on the shoulder of a one-way two-lane road on National Route 2 heading towards Changwon in Jinjeon-myeon, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the 1-ton maintenance truck died, and the driver of the 5-ton truck sustained serious injuries including fractures.
The driver of the 25-ton truck also suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The fire authorities determined that the accident occurred because the driver of the 25-ton truck failed to notice the two trucks.
