Prosecutors' Office Fails to Award Contract for Criminal Justice Information System Development Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (HCIA) has issued a re-bid announcement after failing to find a contractor for the construction of the Criminal Justice Information System (KICS).
According to the Public Procurement Service's Nara Market on the 2nd, HCIA newly posted the bid announcement for the KICS construction project on the 31st of last month.
Previously, HCIA had announced the first bid on the 12th of last month, stating that it would select a contractor in early this month and complete the project by February next year, but no participants responded to the announcement.
The project includes ▲ support systems related to investigation and trial work ▲ electronic approval systems for criminal justice work ▲ electronic record management systems that can record and retrieve electronic documents and digital investigation materials ▲ linkage systems with telecommunications companies and administrative information joint use centers, among others.
