Hwasun-gun Introduces 'Road Surface Marking Luminance Meter'
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 2nd that it will introduce a luminance meter for road surface markings to ensure that residents can safely use county roads and rural roads.
The county repaints lane markings annually for the maintenance of county and rural roads and has paid about 560,000 KRW per inspection for proper luminance management of road surface markings.
Although inspections were previously outsourced to external companies, purchasing a luminance meter this time will allow in-house inspections and reduce inspection costs.
The county plans to regularly measure the reflective performance of road surface markings using the luminance meter and repaint when the values fall below the standard, thereby creating a safer road usage environment.
