Gwangyang City announced on the 31st that considering the recent trend of confirmed cases and the livelihood economy, it has decided to extend the implementation of the revised social distancing Level 1, somewhat relaxed from the previous measures, for two weeks from May 31 to June 13.
Private gatherings are allowed for up to 6 people, increased from the previous limit of 4, and gatherings or events with fewer than 300 people can be held while complying with quarantine rules.
High-risk facilities such as entertainment venues, holdem pubs, dance halls, and singing rooms (including coin karaoke rooms) will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. the next day, and gatherings are limited to up to 4 people.
Additionally, business owners and workers in these industries (excluding coin karaoke rooms) must undergo diagnostic testing once a week.
Restaurants and cafes strongly recommend limiting the time spent inside the premises to one hour when ordering only coffee, beverages, or desserts for two or more people. Religious activities are limited to 30% of seating capacity for regular services, and gatherings and meals organized by religious activities are completely prohibited.
