[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 31st that they have selected seven public service projects through the '2021 Paperless Promotion Pilot Project' contest, enabling citizens to receive various notices and information documents on their smartphones.
The selected projects include ▲Reserve Forces Training Summons (Ministry of National Defense) ▲Intellectual Property-related Patent Notices, etc. (Korean Intellectual Property Office) ▲General Electrical Equipment Inspection Pre-notification, etc. (Korea Electrical Safety Corporation) ▲Red Cross Membership Fee Notices, Donation Receipts, etc. (Korean Red Cross) ▲Civil Defense Education Training Notices, Individual Official Land Price Decision Notices, etc. (Sejong Special Self-Governing City Hall) ▲Civil Defense Education Training Notices, Automobile Tax Payment Notices, etc. (Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office) ▲Request for Examination Opinion Letters and Decision Letters, etc. (Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service).
Through these projects, it is expected to create social effects such as preventing damages caused by non-attendance at reserve forces and civil defense training, preventing rights expiration due to missed patent registration fee payments or examination request deadlines, and shortening the vocational return period for industrial accident workers.
