Operation of Intensive Forest Pest Control Period
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do has designated the period from June 1 to August 31 as the intensive forest pest control period and will operate a countermeasure headquarters.
The Forest Pest Monitoring and Control Countermeasure Headquarters will be operated to respond early to emergency forest pest outbreaks, prevent their spread, and maximize control effectiveness.
In addition, for pests and diseases occurring simultaneously in agricultural and forest areas, joint responses will be made with the relevant cities and counties and agricultural departments using wintering egg survey results and hatching time prediction data.
In particular, a cooperative system will be established with related organizations for the early detection and rapid control of forest pests that cause damage to forests and crops.
