Excellent Works from KOCCA Contest Produced as Watcha Original Content
Call for Proposals: Video Content Planning by Individual Creators
The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) is discovering original project proposals through a contest for creators. The categories include drama, entertainment/culture, and documentary. Dramas are selected separately as short-form and sitcom. The grand prize winner receives 30 million KRW. Entertainment/culture and documentary categories are also divided into feature-length and series, with each grand prize winner receiving 10 million KRW.
Fifteen outstanding works will be produced as Watcha original content. Professional consulting and other support are provided to encourage production. In particular, three works will receive production funding as well as scheduling on Watcha. For more details, please refer to the KOCCA website.

Meanwhile, since February last year, KOCCA has been accepting project proposals from small and medium-sized broadcasting and video production companies. A total of 405 works were submitted, and after expert review, 45 were selected. An official stated, "We will select five final projects to support the completion of proposals, planning development, and production linkage," adding, "We plan to provide an additional production support fund of 130 million KRW each to enable production within this year."
