Seoul Metropolitan Council Democratic Party, Metropolitan Area Council Negotiation Group Democratic Party Exchange and Cooperation Agreement Signed
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The Seoul Metropolitan Council of the Democratic Party of Korea (Representative Assemblyman Jo Sang-ho, Seodaemun 4) signed the 'Metropolitan Area Council Negotiation Group Democratic Party Exchange and Cooperation Agreement Ceremony' at the Gyeonggi Provincial Council on the 28th.
The 'Metropolitan Area Council Negotiation Group Democratic Party Exchange and Cooperation Agreement Ceremony' was organized to adopt an agreement and a joint statement to strengthen exchange and cooperation regarding the practical development of local autonomy and the operation of negotiation groups.
At the ceremony, more than 40 delegates attended, including the Seoul Metropolitan Council (Representative Assemblyman Jo Sang-ho), Gyeonggi Provincial Council (Representative Assemblyman Park Geun-cheol), Incheon Metropolitan Council (Floor Leader Kim Jong-in), and Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung.
The three metropolitan area councils agreed to include in the agreement: ▲ Promotion of the enactment of the Local Council Act and joint response to the promulgation of the Local Autonomy Act ▲ Joint exploration of ways to strengthen the status of negotiation groups and operate them efficiently ▲ Sharing information and cooperation on overall legislative activities ▲ Research and exchange cooperation on other metropolitan area joint issues, planning to discuss metropolitan area joint issues and seek alternatives.
