Ulsan Mayor Song Cheol-ho to Meet Jeju Governor Won Hee-ryong ... Promoting Cultural and Artistic Exchange Cooperation

The Ulsan City government announced that Mayor Song plans to visit Jeju Island to find ways to cooperate in cultural and artistic exchanges and will have a discussion with Governor Won Hee-ryong.
With the completion of the municipal art museum scheduled for the second half of the year, Ulsan City plans to discover cooperative projects utilizing cultural resources with Jeju Island, which combines world natural heritage with culture and arts, and discuss exchange and cooperation plans.
On the day, Mayor Song will visit Jeju Provincial Office at 11:30 a.m. to meet Governor Won Hee-ryong and exchange opinions on cultural and artistic exchange plans between Jeju Island and Ulsan.
He will also hold a meeting with art officials to hear professional and diverse opinions for the development of culture and arts in Ulsan.
In the afternoon, he is scheduled to visit the Jeju Provincial Museum of Art, a public art museum representing Jeju, the cultural regeneration space, and private museums such as Arario Museum and D&Department, which exhibit collections of famous artists.
An official from Ulsan City said, “We plan to expand cultural and artistic exchanges between cultural and artistic institutions and the private sector such as Ulsan City, Jeju Cultural Foundation, and art museums, and also discover exchange and cooperation projects in various fields including tourism industry and economy.”

The Ulsan Municipal Art Museum, scheduled to be completed in the second half of this year, is being built at 1-3, Bukjeong-dong, Jung-gu, on a 6,182㎡ site with a total floor area of 12,770㎡, including three basement floors and two above-ground floors, with a budget of 67.7 billion KRW.
