Hallagroup Donates 21.4 Million KRW to Anyang City

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Halla Group announced on the 28th that it has donated 21.4 million KRW collected through the Anyang Halla Ice Hockey Team’s ‘Love Goal Fund’ to the city of Anyang. Halla Group and Anyang City have been jointly practicing acts of love and sharing for six years since 2016.
The donation ceremony was held at Anyang City Hall in Gyeonggi Province, attended by Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang, Yang Seung-jun, captain of the Anyang Halla Ice Hockey Team, and Choi Eun-sook, Secretary General of the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest.
The donation amount of 21.4 million KRW includes 16.4 million KRW from 82 goals scored by the Anyang Halla Ice Hockey Team during the 2020-21 season (200,000 KRW per goal) and an additional 5 million KRW as a congratulatory prize for winning the domestic league.
The donation will be used for the ‘Didim Seed Bank’ program, which supports vulnerable children to become self-reliant, as well as other sponsorship projects in Anyang City. Last year’s donation was used to support about 750 children and 250 vulnerable groups residing in Anyang.

Mayor Choi stated, "The donated funds will serve as a precious stepping stone for our children to freely pursue their dreams, and I hope to continue the valuable relationship with Halla Group in the future."
