Tongyeong City Conducts Region- and Industry-Specific Women-Focused Employment Training... Operating 5 Courses
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Tongyeong City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 27th that it secured 250 million KRW in national funds through the Ministry of Employment and Labor's regional and industry-customized women-specialized job creation support project contest.
The city planned a customized vocational training project for women with career interruptions and applied for the contest at the end of April. As a result, all five projects finally applied for were selected.
The main contents of the project include a companion plant certification course, vocational counselor training course, meal service cooking practical employment and start-up course, Tongyeong traditional quilting specialized technical education course, and side dish cooking practical employment and start-up course.
After completing all administrative procedures such as submitting the final project plan and signing an agreement with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the project will be promoted from the end of May in cooperation with the executing agency, Tongyeong City Women's Association.

A Tongyeong City official stated, "We will do our best to ensure that this project provides practical help to women with career interruptions in the city who are experiencing difficulties in employment and start-ups due to COVID-19."
