Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus Opens Dolsan Training Center to Local Residents
Spent Billions on Remodeling... Following Cheongram Hall, Regional Coexistence
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shim Kyung-taek] Chonnam National University announced on the 27th that it will open the Dolsan Training Center, which was remodeled at a cost of over 300 million won, to local residents as well.
Located near Bangjukpo Beach in Yeosu, Jeonnam, the Chonnam National University Dolsan Training Center has four double rooms, one quadruple room, and one octuple room. All rooms are equipped with kitchen utensils, tableware, TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, bedding, and free Wi-Fi is also available.
Local residents, faculty, and students who wish to use the facility can apply online after registering on the Chonnam National University portal. Local residents can also apply by phone.
The Dolsan Training Center was originally used as a coastal practice site after being donated by the late Jeong Myeong-min, founder of Yeosu Jeonnam Hospital, in 1964, and was converted into a training facility in 1999.

Vice President Jo Gi-ryang said, “Since the establishment of the Fisheries Public School in 1917, Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus has spent over 100 years together with the Yeosu community.” He added, “We will complete an open campus that works with the community by opening not only the Dolsan Training Center but also Cheongram Hall, scheduled to be completed in October, to local residents.”
