Clean Tap Water Supply Through Full Front Repair of Water Tank
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the afternoon of the 27th, Heo Seong-mu, mayor of Changwon City, visited the Bulgok Reservoir site to conduct interior repair work on the water tank.
The Bulgok Reservoir in Gaeumjeong Park, Sapa-dong, Seongsan-gu, has a capacity of 15,000 tons.
It has been in operation since 1992, supplying tap water produced at Chilseo Water Purification Plant to citizens in the Sapa-dong, Sinwol-dong, and Yongho-dong areas.
This repair work follows a detailed safety inspection in 2019 that concluded repairs were necessary. With a project budget of 655 million KRW, the old facilities inside the water tank are being completely refurbished, which is expected to contribute to the supply of clean tap water after completion.
