[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will open a new public recruitment for the 2nd term of the Residents' Autonomy Committee from June 1 to 25.
The target areas are a total of 8 neighborhoods: ▲ Seongbuk-dong ▲ Samseon-dong ▲ Bomun-dong ▲ Jeongneung 2-dong ▲ Gireum 1-dong ▲ Wolgok 2-dong ▲ Jangwi 1-dong ▲ Seokgwan-dong.
Entering its fifth year of implementation, the Seongbuk-gu Residents' Autonomy Committee has been striving to secure practical residents' authority by encouraging various resident participation, holding residents' general meetings, and establishing residents' autonomy plans in line with the direction of "Seongbuk, the number one place for living autonomy where residents are the owners."
Any resident of the respective neighborhood or residents active in schools, institutions, or organizations located in the neighborhood are eligible to apply for the Residents' Autonomy Committee. Applications can be submitted by visiting the neighborhood community service center or via email.
The selected 2nd term Residents' Autonomy Committee members will represent residents for two years starting from September 1, discussing and resolving various local issues.
