Asiana Airlines to Operate International Non-Stop Sightseeing Flights from Gimpo Airport Starting June
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Asiana Airlines announced on the 27th that it will operate 'international non-landing sightseeing flights' from Gimpo International Airport starting next month, following Incheon Airport.
In June, the 'international non-landing sightseeing flights' will operate two flights from Incheon Airport and one flight from Gimpo Airport. The flights departing from Incheon Airport will use the A380 aircraft, departing at 12:10 PM on the 19th and 26th of next month, flying over Busan, Fukuoka, and Jeju, and arriving back at Incheon Airport at 2:30 PM.
The flight departing from Gimpo Airport will use the A321NEO aircraft, departing at 12:10 PM on the 26th, flying over Busan, Fukuoka, and Jeju, and arriving back at Gimpo Airport at 2:30 PM.
Asiana Airlines is conducting sightseeing flight projects in cooperation with various countries' tourism boards to enhance the overseas travel experience. Previously, non-landing sightseeing flights with travel concepts of Spain (April) and Australia (May) were operated. Next month, in collaboration with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and Tiger Sugar, Asiana Airlines plans to present a Taiwan-themed sightseeing flight.
Passengers on these flights will receive souvenirs, and a Taiwan-related quiz event will be held through Asiana Airlines' social media channels.
All passengers will be provided with L'Occitane amenity kits, and can use the in-flight entertainment system and accumulate mileage during the flight. Customers flying in Business Suite and Business Smartium classes can use the Asiana Airlines East Wing Lounge at Incheon International Airport.

Since the non-landing sightseeing flights are international operations, passengers must hold a South Korean passport. They can use Asiana Airlines' in-flight duty-free shop as well as duty-free shops at Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport, and downtown duty-free shops. However, the in-flight duty-free shop can only be used if items are pre-ordered through Asiana Airlines' internet duty-free shop, which offers discounts. Due to COVID-19 prevention guidelines, in-flight meal services will not be provided.
